Prof. Dr. Jonas Busch has started his work at the Clinic for Urology at Vivantes Hospital "Am Urban" on July 01, 2021. He thus expands the team of chief physicians PD Dr. Stefan Hinz and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Magheli.
Prof. Dr. Jonas Busch was most recently and since 2019 Deputy Clinic Director of the Clinic for Urology at the Charité and since 2016 Head of the interdisciplinary Prostate Cancer Center there. Between 2016 and 2019, he held the position of senior consultant at Campus Mitte.
His clinical focus includes open surgical and robotic nervereductive radical prostatectomy, robotic partial kidney resection and open kidney surgery, cystectomy with urinary diversion, and residual tumor resection for testicular tumors.

Prof. Busch studied medicine at Charité Berlin with study visits to Calcutta (India), Lausanne (Switzerland) and Houston (USA) and received his doctorate in Berlin. After completing his residency in urology at Charité, he worked there as a resident from 2008 to 2013 and then specialized in the field of prostate cancer at Stanford University (USA). In 2014, he completed his habilitation on the topic of "Sequential therapy in metastatic renal cell carcinoma".
At the annual congress of the German Society of Urology (2015-2016), Prof. Busch took over as congress secretary. In 2020, he was appointed as an associate professor.
Prof. Busch is a native of Berlin and lives in Kreuzberg.
