The Vivantes Tumor Center encompasses all of Vivantes' activities in the field of cancer care and represents Vivantes' overarching organization in the area of oncology. It was founded in March 2008 and integrates the previously existing Vivantes Tumor Centers at the Vivantes Neukölln Hospital, Vivantes Hospital "Am Urban" and Vivantes Spandau Hospital.

The Vivantes Tumor Center is formed from three Oncology Centers of the Berlin regions North, Central and South. All three Oncology Centers are successfully certified according to the criteria of the German Society for Hematology and Oncology (DGHO).

In addition, the Vivantes Breast Center and the Vivantes Lung Cancer Center carry the certificates as organ centers of the German Cancer Society (DKG) according to Onkozert.

A detailed description of our goals and tasks can be found in the Vivantes Cancer Report.

The undetected
There are diseases that only become known because a celebrity is affected by them. One example is oral cavity carcinoma, which recently claimed the life of the well-known actor Jan Fedder. If it is discovered at an early stage, it is usually curable.
