Vivantes Humboldt-Hospital

The Vivantes Humboldt Hospital comprises 11 medical departments and 629 beds. Approx. 61,000 patients are being annually treated, i.e. around 37,000 outpatients and around 24,000 inpatients. Some 1,300 babies are annually born at the maternity clinic of the Humboldt Hospital. 207 physicians and 488 members of nursing staff take care of the patients. All in all 968 members of staff are working at the hospital. The Vivantes Humboldt Hospital is an academic teaching hospital of the Charité – University Medicine Berlin. The Hospital includes among other things a Center for Liver- and Endocrine Surgery, a Center for Endometriosis-Treatment and Pelvic Floor Diseases, the Tumor-Center North, a Center for Vascular Surgery, an Institute for Tobacco Addiction and Smoking Prevention and a Center for Affective Diseases – Center for Depressions. Furthermore on the premisis of the Humboldt Hospital the Comfort Hospital has been opened in June 2010.
