Vivantes Hospital am Urban

The Vivantes Hospital am Urban comprises 12 medical departments and 586 beds. Approx. 55,000 patients are being annually treated, i.e. around 32,000 outpatients and around 23,000 inpatients. Some 1,100 babies are annually born at the maternity clinic of the Hospital am Urban. 178 physicians and 438 members of nursing staff take care of the patients. All in all 869 members of staff are working at the hospital. The Vivantes Hospital am Urban is an academic teaching hospital of the Charité – University Medicine Berlin. The Hospital includes among other things a Center for Breast Diseases, the Tumor Center Mitte, a stroke unit, a Center for Gastrointestinal Oncology and the Berlin Center for Heart Rhythm (BHZ).
