Your clinic sojourn

In the following, we shortly present the organizational procedure regarding your clinic-sojourn. We gladly answer all of your accordant questions personally (Your contact persons).

Enquiry

Whether you suffer from disorders, look for a specialist or are interested in a second opinion: Vivantes International Medicine finds the adequate expert and offers you a free evaluation of your medical documents. Please transmit the following data as extensive and complete as possible to international@vivantes.de or use our contact form so that we can process your inquiry as quick as possible:

Immediately subsequent to the receipt of your inquiry, we perform – normally within 48 h – the following:

  • Evaluation of your medical documents
  • Development of an optimal treatment-concept
  • Submission of the estimation of costs to you

Organizational support in advance

If you agree to our treatment offer, we gladly organize the following for you:

  • Appointments with our specialists
  • Interpreter
  • Transfers from the airport / train station to the clinic
  • Accommodation of accompanying persons
  • Security service for the period of your sojourn

Visa

If you need a visa for the entry to Germany, we gladly support you in respect of the formalities. As regards the preparation of an invitation-letter, we need the following information:

  • Your correctly written first name and family name (spelling like in your passport)
  • Your passport-number
  • First name(s) and family name(s) of the accompanying person(s)
  • Passport-number(s) of the accompanying person(s)

You can simply send us a copy of the passports per email or fax as well.

Admission-checklist

The welfare of people is the number one priority for Vivantes. Our patients are being treated in all Vivantes clinics according to the same high quality standards which are based on the latest medical and nursing expertise. We think that humaneness is as important as medical and nursing quality. Your sojourn shall be as pleasant as possible.

We therefore ask you to bring along the following for purposes of admission:

  • Passport or ID-card
  • Signed estimation of costs
  • Relevant medical documents like medical reports, previous medical findings, x-ray-, CT-, MRI-images etc.
  • All drugs you take regularly
  • Your medication-scheme if applicable
  • Your allergy-pass, pacemaker-pass or Marcumar-pass
  • Bank-confirmation in respect of the performed advance payment amounting to the sum stated within the estimation of costs

It could be required to discontinue diluting drugs (e.g. ASS, Marcumar) 5-7 days prior to the planned admission and to replace them by other drugs or injections. Certain blood-sugar-tablets have also to be paused two days prior to the admission. Please consult your currently medicating physician or your general practitioner in this respect.

Your sojourn

The administrative admission is being performed directly after your arrival at one of our 9 hospitals. At this, you can pay the advance payment in cash or by credit card if you have not already paid before.

You will subsequently meet our experts personally! In case of an outpatient treatment, you will:

  • get a consultation
  • undergo a checkup or an
  • outpatient therapy

In case of an inpatient treatment part of the nursing staff will welcome you at the ward. After this, you will:

  • have a first conversation with the physician
  • participate in the explanation of the therapy-concept
  • participate in preparing conversations in respect of the surgery if applicable
  • undergo diagnostic / therapeutic procedures

If you have special wishes or if you need certain services during the period of your sojourn, please do not hesitate to contact us! We gladly organize the following for you:

  • Dining à la carte
  • Massages, wellness- and beauty-treatments
  • Guided city-tours
  • Cultural program for you or your accompanying persons

Discharge

At the time of the completion of the medical treatment, you will get the following services:

  • Discharge conversation with the medicating physician
  • Handover of the medical report
  • Aftertreatment recommendations if applicable
  • Handover of the final invoice and payment of the remaining amount if applicable

Organizational support afterwards

We gladly support you in the organization of your return journey and offer you the following services:

  • Translation of the medical report or of further medical documents into your native language
  • Scheduling of aftertreatment-examinations
  • Transfers from the clinic to the airport / train station
