Costs and payment

Vivantes International Medicine uses a fair and internationally accepted price system. We therefore promise you: We will only charge you for services utilized by you.

Price system

Our price system is based on the German DRG-catalog which has been introduced and refined as integrated, performance-oriented and generalizing remuneration-system for the remuneration of general hospital services. The application of this DRG flat-rate system in combination with different optional service levels enables us to offer you a transparent cost-estimation and an invoice exactly according to the utilized services.

We determine the prospective procedure in consultation with our experts, i.e. based on the medical information you submitted in the context of your request. This procedure and your preferred service level determine the prospective costs which we submit in the form of an estimation of costs.

At the time of the completion of the medical treatment, you will get one final invoice which includes exclusively the necessary and performed examination- and treatment-procedures and additionally your optionally utilized services if these are not already included in your chosen service level. Terms of payment

Please understand that you – as self-pay patient – have to provide an advance payment in respect of the prospective treatment costs. The payment by credit card (VISA, MASTERCARD and American Express) or cash payments (until 2 p.m. on working days) are possible during the administrative admissions.

The payment of the remaining amount – where required – has to be performed on the day of discharge.

Please note

Patients requiring a visa for the entry have to pay the prospective treatment costs (amounting to the sum stated within the estimation of costs) by transfer in advance, as this is a prerequisite for the issuance of the visa.
